"EEF at OPE" currently pays the salaries of our music, science, supplemental reading and supplemental math teachers. Extreme Lunch, a program that organizes games during lunch recess, is also paid for by the money "EEF @ OPE" raises.

 

Each year, the spending plan for "EEF @ OPE" dollars raised is developed and approved by the School Site Council (SSC.) School Site Council is comprised of administrators, teachers, staff and parents. The focus of SSC is to provide our children with the best education possible.

 

EEF at OPE is a school site 501(c)3 non-profit organization.  We raise funds to pay for teachers the California budget has eliminated. Those teachers include music, science, technology, supplemental reading, supplemental math, and Extreme Lunch. We strongly feel that our children deserve the best elementary school education. As such, we contribute pre-tax dollars to invest in the future of our children.  They are the pioneers of today and the leaders of tomorrow.

 

Our Fundraising Campaigns

 

We have 2 main fundraisers during the school year. The first is the Pioneer Pledge Drive, a direct giving fund drive that runs for 2 weeks during the early part of the school year. The funds raised from this pledge drive pay the teacher's salaries for the second half of the school year. Our second large fundraiser is the Spring Auction Fundraiser. This is not only a fundraising event but a fun social evening without the kids. Highlights of the evening include silent auction of items donated by families and the community, a live auction, frequently featuring one of a kind items like Rothschild vertical wine collections, firehouse dinner, vacation getaways, sporting events, and great music and dancing.
